CFS300B Description
Core Purpose
The CFS300B is a BLE-based capacitive fuel sensor designed to monitor fuel level changes in vehicle tanks. Its main role is to help fleets detect fuel theft and accurately track refueling and fuel consumption. The sensor works together with compatible GPS trackers, dash cameras, or routers to deliver fuel data to fleet systems.
Connectivity & Communication
The sensor uses BLE communication to transmit fuel level data wirelessly to a connected tracking device. This eliminates the need for complex wiring between the fuel tank and the main telematics unit. A stable BLE connection allows fuel data to be reported regularly over short or long distances, depending on the operating environment.
Fuel Measurement & Accuracy
Capacitive sensing enables precise fuel level measurement inside the tank. High measurement accuracy supports reliable fuel consumption reports and helps identify abnormal fuel drops. Fine resolution allows even small fuel changes to be detected, improving visibility into daily fuel usage.
Monitoring & Calibration Support
A built-in tilt sensor helps maintain stable fuel readings when vehicles are driving on uneven roads or slopes. This improves data consistency during real-world operation, especially for trucks operating on construction sites or rough terrain. The sensor supports more reliable fuel analysis under changing driving conditions.
Power & Environmental Suitability
The CFS300B is powered by internal batteries and is designed for long-term operation without frequent replacement, with battery life extending up to 7 years. An IP69-rated enclosure protects the sensor from water, dust, and high-pressure cleaning. This makes it suitable for harsh outdoor and industrial vehicle environments.
Installation & Compatibility
The sensor is designed for easy installation and supports different tank lengths through adjustable probe sizes. It can be used with tanks made from common materials such as aluminum, plastic, and stainless steel. Compatibility with gasoline, diesel, and LPG allows use across multiple vehicle types.
