RX54 Description
Core Purpose
The RX54 5G RedCap router is designed to provide stable and secure connectivity in industrial environments. It combines mobile networking, local connectivity, and device integration into a single compact unit. This allows businesses to connect remote equipment, systems, or locations without relying on fixed infrastructure.
Connectivity and Communication
The device uses 5G RedCap technology to deliver reliable mobile connectivity with balanced speed and efficiency. It also supports LTE fallback, helping maintain connectivity when 5G coverage is limited. Dual SIM functionality enables automatic failover, so the router can switch between operators without manual intervention.
For local networking, the router includes Wi-Fi and Ethernet ports, making it easy to connect nearby devices. It supports secure communication through VPN technologies like OpenVPN and IPsec, ensuring that transmitted data remains protected across public networks.
Positioning and Tracking
A built-in multi-constellation GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. This improves positioning accuracy and reliability, especially in challenging environments where a single system may struggle. As a result, the router can be used in applications where precise location tracking is required.
Monitoring and Network Management
The router includes tools for continuous connection monitoring, such as automatic reboot triggers and link checks. These features help maintain uptime by detecting and responding to network issues quickly.
It also supports advanced diagnostics and scripting, allowing users to customize how the device behaves in different scenarios. This flexibility makes it suitable for both simple deployments and more complex network setups.
Expansion and I/O Support
The device provides multiple integration options, including RS232, RS485, and configurable GPIO. These interfaces allow it to connect with industrial equipment, sensors, or control systems.
This makes the router more than just a connectivity device—it can act as a bridge between networks and physical systems, enabling data exchange and remote control.
Power and Environmental Suitability
Designed for demanding conditions, the router operates within a wide temperature range of –40°C to +65°C. It supports an 8–30V DC power input and can also use passive PoE, giving flexibility in how it is powered.
Its compact aluminum enclosure with IP30 protection makes it suitable for installation in control cabinets or protected industrial environments.
Product Variants
The RX54 is available in single and dual 5G RedCap module versions, both offering the same industrial features, including dual SIM, failover, GPS, and advanced VPN support. The single-module RX54 provides reliable connectivity for standard applications, while the dual-module RX54x2 enables higher performance, load balancing, and enhanced redundancy for critical deployments.
