F-G100 Description
Core Purpose
The F-G100 is a 5G industrial IoT gateway designed to connect field devices to remote networks over public cellular infrastructure. It collects data from serial and Ethernet equipment and securely transmits it to cloud platforms or control centers.
With support for 3G, 4G, and 5G networks, the device enables long-distance data communication in industrial environments. It is built for stable, always-on operation in fixed installations such as cabinets, panels, and control rooms.
Connectivity and Communication
The gateway supports 5G NR with theoretical downlink speeds up to 3.4Gbps and LTE Cat20 up to 2.0Gbps, allowing high-bandwidth data transmission when required. It also supports dual SIM cards, enabling network redundancy.
A wired WAN port supports static IP, DHCP, and PPPoE, allowing flexible deployment in mixed wired and cellular environments. The device supports VPN protocols (PPTP, L2TP, IPSEC) for secure remote communication.
It also supports remote management through HTTPS, SSH, SNMP, and SYSLOG. Configuration, upgrades, and diagnostics can be handled locally or remotely, simplifying maintenance.
Network and Cloud Integration
The F-G100 supports MQTT with SSL/TLS, HTTPS, and WebSocket for IoT platform communication. It can connect to public cloud platforms including Ali Cloud and Huawei Cloud.
Built-in Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and IEC60870-5-104 protocols allow integration with industrial control systems and SCADA platforms. The device also supports VLAN, NAT, DDNS, DHCP server/client, and traffic management functions.
This makes it suitable for both data acquisition and protocol conversion between field equipment and cloud systems.
Local Interfaces and Data Collection
The gateway provides:
- 1 × RS232
- 5 × RS485 (one shared with RS232)
- 4 × Gigabit LAN ports
- 1 × Gigabit WAN port
Serial communication supports speeds from 2400 to 115200 bps.
It also includes 2 digital inputs, 1 digital output, and 1 relay output (1A 250VAC / 30VDC), allowing connection to alarms, sensors, or control circuits.
This combination enables data collection from PLCs, meters, CNC machines, inverters, and other industrial devices.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The device supports a wide DC input range of 9–36V, with standard operation at 12V/1.5A.
It operates in temperatures from –35°C to +75°C and supports storage down to –40°C.
The metal housing is rated IP30 and designed for DIN rail or wall mounting. Built-in protections include reverse polarity protection, over-voltage protection, and 1.5KV isolation on Ethernet and serial interfaces.
This makes the device suitable for industrial cabinets and harsh electrical environments.
