F-G310 Description
Core Purpose
The F-G310 is a smart light pole gateway designed to connect multiple field devices to cloud platforms through wired, fiber, 4G, or 5G networks. It acts as a central communication hub inside smart street poles and urban infrastructure.
It collects data from connected systems and transmits it to remote platforms for monitoring and control. The device supports both IPv4 and IPv6, allowing flexible deployment in modern network environments.
Connectivity and Communication
The gateway supports 5G NR and LTE networks, enabling high-speed wireless backhaul for large data transmission. It can also connect through a wired WAN port (RJ45 with PPPoE support) or fiber via dual SFP slots, allowing different network topologies such as ring or chain structures.
Wi-Fi (2.4GHz, IEEE802.11b/g/n) is available for local wireless connectivity, supporting both AP and Station modes. This allows nearby devices to connect directly to the gateway when needed.
It supports common industrial communication protocols and allows customization of private protocols such as MQTT and Modbus TCP. This enables integration with cloud platforms including Ali Cloud, Baidu Cloud, and the Four-Faith cloud platform.
Dual SIM support (1.8V/3V, compatible with e-SIM) improves network flexibility and allows operators to select different carriers where applicable.
Data Transmission and System Reliability
The device is designed to ensure continuous online operation. It uses both software and hardware watchdog mechanisms to automatically recover from system faults.
An anti-drop mechanism ensures the terminal remains connected and automatically restores communication if the network is interrupted.
Off-network data storage allows the gateway to temporarily store data when connectivity is lost and transmit it once the connection is restored. This helps prevent data loss in unstable network environments.
Power and Output Management
The gateway operates on AC 85–264V input and provides multiple controlled outputs. It includes:
- Three AC output channels (85–264V/10A each)
- One 12V/2A DC output
- One 24V/2A DC output
Each output channel supports remote switching, as well as voltage and current detection. This allows centralized power management for connected devices such as lighting, displays, or other smart pole equipment.
Interface and Expansion Capability
The device includes multiple communication interfaces:
- 1 × Gigabit WAN port
- 7 × Gigabit LAN ports (4 with PoE+, up to 30W per channel)
- 2 × RS485 serial ports
- 2 × SFP fiber ports
The PoE+ ports allow direct powering of connected equipment such as cameras or wireless access points.
Optional LoRa or Zigbee modules enable additional wireless protocol expansion for low-power sensor integration. The device also supports Python and C secondary development, allowing customization for specialized deployments.
Environmental and Operational Suitability
The F-G310 operates in temperatures from –35°C to +75°C and supports storage from –40°C to +85°C. It is suitable for outdoor cabinet or pole-mounted deployments in varied climates.
Built-in protections include:
- 1.5KV Ethernet electromagnetic isolation
- 15KV ESD protection for SIM/UIM and RS485 interfaces
- Reverse phase and over-voltage protection
- Optional antenna lightning protection
These protections enhance operational safety in outdoor electrical environments.
