F8926-GW-02 Description
Core Purpose
The F8926-GW-02 is designed as a LoRaWAN gateway that connects large numbers of IoT devices to cloud platforms. Sensors and remote nodes communicate with the gateway using long-range LoRa wireless signals. The gateway collects this information and forwards it to cloud systems through Ethernet or cellular networks for monitoring and data processing.
This architecture allows organizations to deploy many distributed sensors while keeping communication centralized and easy to manage.
Connectivity and Communication
The gateway acts as the communication bridge between field devices and cloud platforms. It supports LoRaWAN Class A and Class C, enabling bidirectional communication with IoT terminals. This allows devices to send data and also receive commands or configuration updates when needed.
For backhaul connectivity, the gateway can transmit data through wired Ethernet or 4G cellular networks, ensuring flexible deployment in both wired infrastructure and remote environments. WiFi management capabilities allow administrators to configure or update the gateway wirelessly when required.
LoRa Network Performance
The gateway uses a multi-channel LoRa RF architecture that can handle multiple device transmissions simultaneously. It supports 8 uplink channels and 1 downlink channel, allowing many field sensors to report data efficiently.
Under optimal conditions, LoRa communication can reach up to 9 km in urban environments, enabling wide-area sensor coverage. The design also supports strong signal sensitivity, helping maintain stable communication even in complex environments.
Data Management and Cloud Integration
The gateway supports multiple data delivery methods including HTTP push, MQTT messaging, and TCP connections, allowing integration with a wide range of IoT platforms.
Compatibility with common platforms such as cloud IoT services and private network servers makes it easier for organizations to integrate the gateway into existing infrastructure without complex customization.
Power and Environmental Suitability
Designed for industrial environments, the gateway supports a wide DC 9–36V power range and also allows PoE (802.3af) power input. This flexibility simplifies installation in different types of deployments.
The device operates in temperatures from –35°C to +75°C, allowing reliable operation in both indoor facilities and demanding industrial environments.
Interfaces and Device Integration
The gateway provides multiple physical interfaces to simplify integration. It includes 10/100M Ethernet ports, Type-C console access, SIM card support for cellular connectivity, and external antennas for LoRa, WiFi, and 4G communication.
Indicator LEDs and a reset function help technicians monitor the device status and quickly restore default settings if needed.
