F-NR120 Description
Core Purpose
The F-NR120 is a 5G industrial router designed to provide reliable wireless communication for IoT and M2M deployments. It connects field devices to public 3G, 4G, and 5G networks for long-distance data transmission. Built for industrial environments, it combines cellular, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity in a compact metal enclosure. It is designed to stay online continuously and support remote infrastructure across different industries.
Connectivity and Communication
The router supports 5G NR with download speeds up to 3.4Gbps and LTE Cat20 up to 2.0Gbps, enabling high-speed data transfer for demanding applications. It also supports wired WAN, allowing flexible network deployment. Dual SIM support helps maintain connectivity by enabling network redundancy. Multiple WAN connection methods such as DHCP, Static IP, and PPPoE provide compatibility with different network setups. It supports VPN technologies including IPSEC, L2TP, PPTP, OpenVPN, and GRE. This allows secure encrypted communication between remote sites and central servers. Wi-Fi supports 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz bands (802.11b/g/n/ac), enabling local wireless access for nearby devices. It can operate in AP, client, or bridge mode depending on deployment needs.
Monitoring and Management
The device supports remote management through HTTPS, SSH, TELNET, SNMP, and SYSLOG. This enables administrators to monitor performance and manage configurations from a central location. It provides traffic statistics and real-time data rate display, helping operators understand network usage. Configuration files can be imported and exported, and firmware can be upgraded locally or remotely. A built-in watchdog (WDT) and anti-drop mechanism help ensure the router automatically recovers from faults and remains online.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The router operates on DC 9–36V input, making it suitable for industrial power systems and vehicle installations. Typical consumption is less than 1.2A at 12V. It uses a metal housing with IP30 protection. The operating temperature range of –35°C to +75°C supports deployment in harsh environments. Built-in protections include 1.5KV electromagnetic isolation on Ethernet and serial interfaces, 15KV ESD protection on the SIM interface, and reverse polarity and over-voltage protection on the power input.
Expansion and Industrial Interfaces
The F-NR120 includes 1× Gigabit WAN and 1× Gigabit LAN port with 1.5KV isolation protection. It supports RS232/RS485 serial communication (2400–115200bps) and 1× CAN 2.0 interface, enabling integration with PLCs, meters, and industrial controllers. Four SMA connectors are provided for cellular antennas, two for Wi-Fi, and an optional SMA interface for GPS. The optional industrial GPS module supports 50 channels, up to 4Hz update rate, and positioning accuracy of 2.5m (SBAS 2.0m). PPS output is supported for time synchronization applications.
