F-R100 Description
Core Purpose
The F-R100 is a 4G industrial cellular router built for reliable remote connectivity in industrial environments. It connects field equipment, control systems, and remote infrastructure to central platforms through cellular and wired networks. It is designed for applications such as SCADA systems, distribution management, and remote monitoring where stable, always-online communication is essential.
Connectivity and Communication
The router supports LTE with speeds up to 100 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink, enabling real-time data transmission for industrial systems. It also supports multiple WAN methods including static IP, DHCP, PPPoE, and cellular WAN. Dual-link backup (3G/4G and wired WAN) helps maintain connection if one network fails. VPN protocols such as IPSEC, OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP enable secure remote communication between sites. It supports remote management through web interface, CLI, SNMP, and HTTPS, allowing centralized configuration and monitoring. Traffic statistics provide real-time visibility of data transmission rates.
Wireless Networking
The device includes Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, supporting speeds up to 150 Mbps (802.11n). It can operate in AP, Client, or Bridge mode, enabling flexible wireless deployment in industrial environments. Multiple SSID support and encryption options (WEP, WPA, WPA2) allow controlled and secure wireless access inside facilities.
Expansion and I/O Support
The router includes 1× RS232 (RS422/RS485 optional) for industrial serial communication. It also provides 2 digital inputs, 1 digital output, and 1 relay, controlled by Modbus protocol. This allows integration with sensors, alarms, and industrial controllers. Relay output supports loads up to 1A at 250V AC or 30V DC, enabling external device control.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The router supports a wide DC 5–36V power input range, making it suitable for vehicles and industrial power systems. Typical power consumption is under 500mA at 12V. It operates in temperatures from –35°C to +75°C, with storage down to –40°C. The metal enclosure is rated IP30, and the device supports DIN rail mounting for cabinet installation. Built-in protections include 1.5KV Ethernet isolation, 15KV ESD protection on SIM interface, reverse polarity protection, and watchdog design for system stability.
