FGI100 Description
Core Purpose
The FGI100-Lite is an industrial IoT edge gateway designed to connect field devices to cloud systems using cellular and wired networks. It acts as a bridge between equipment like PLCs and remote platforms, enabling data collection, processing, and control.
It is built to handle both data acquisition and data forwarding, while also supporting edge computing and remote device management. This allows operations to run more efficiently without relying entirely on centralized systems.
Connectivity and Communication
The device supports both 4G and 5G connectivity, allowing it to transmit data over cellular networks while also supporting wired Ethernet connections. This ensures continuous communication even if one connection becomes unstable.
Dual-link backup switching enables automatic failover between cellular and wired WAN, helping maintain uninterrupted connectivity. It also supports secure communication methods like VPN and encrypted protocols, allowing safe data transfer between field devices and cloud platforms.
Data Processing and Integration
The gateway is designed to collect, process, and convert data from connected devices. It supports protocol conversion and integrates with over 100 industrial protocols, making it compatible with a wide range of equipment.
With built-in edge computing capabilities, it can process data locally before sending it to the cloud. This reduces latency and improves response time for critical operations.
Device Management and Monitoring
The FGI100-Lite includes remote management features that allow users to monitor and control devices from a central system. Functions like system logging, remote access, and cloud integration simplify maintenance and troubleshooting.
It also supports link monitoring and status reporting, helping operators track network performance and device health in real time.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The device operates on a wide power input range (DC 9–36V), making it suitable for different industrial environments. It is housed in a metal enclosure with IP30 protection, providing durability for indoor industrial use.
It is designed to work in harsh conditions, with an operating temperature range from -35°C to +75°C. Built-in protections such as over-voltage, reverse polarity, and electromagnetic isolation enhance reliability.
Expansion and I/O Support
The gateway includes multiple industrial interfaces such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi, allowing it to connect to various field devices. These interfaces support communication with PLCs, meters, and other industrial equipment.
It also supports dual SIM functionality, enabling network redundancy and flexible deployment across different network providers.
