FTV300 Description
Core Purpose
The FTV300 is a 5G vehicle gateway designed to provide stable, high-speed connectivity for vehicles operating in demanding environments. It connects onboard systems, cameras, and industrial equipment to cloud platforms for centralized monitoring and management. Built for mobile deployments, the device enables vehicles to stay online while moving across different network conditions.
Connectivity and Communication
The gateway supports 5G NR and LTE networks, delivering high data throughput for real-time applications. Intelligent dual-link backup switching between 5G/4G and wired WAN helps maintain connectivity if one link fails. Dual Nano SIM support allows flexible carrier selection and network redundancy. VPN support (such as IPSec and OpenVPN) enables secure encrypted communication between vehicles and control centers. Wi-Fi 6 dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) provides fast local wireless access inside the vehicle for tablets, cameras, and other onboard devices.
Positioning and Tracking
The device supports GPS and Beidou positioning with 88 channels for stable satellite reception. Positioning accuracy can reach <2 meters CEP, enabling reliable vehicle tracking. With a default 1Hz update rate (configurable up to 10Hz), the gateway can support both standard tracking and higher-frequency movement monitoring when required. Fast hot-start performance (≤1s) reduces positioning delay after signal interruption.
Monitoring and Network Reliability
The FTV300 includes Ethernet link detection with speed and latency reporting, allowing operators to monitor connection quality in real time. A built-in watchdog mechanism helps maintain system stability. The device also supports firewall functions, access control, and URL filtering to enhance network security. Online and offline triggering modes allow the gateway to respond to serial or network data events, enabling flexible integration into vehicle systems.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The gateway operates on a wide 9–48V DC input, making it compatible with different vehicle power systems. It is designed to work in temperatures from –35°C to +75°C, supporting outdoor and industrial deployments. Low average power consumption (<500mA @12V) helps maintain efficient energy use in vehicle installations.
Expansion and I/O Support
The device provides 4× 1GE Ethernet ports, along with RS232 and RS485 interfaces for connection to industrial controllers and vehicle equipment. M12 connectors support secure automotive wiring. GNSS, Wi-Fi, and cellular antennas connect through dedicated FAKRA interfaces, ensuring stable signal transmission in mobile environments.
