FST100 Description
Core Purpose
The FST100 is a wireless humidity and temperature monitoring terminal designed for environmental data collection in indoor and outdoor environments. It combines a digital sensor with long-range wireless communication to transmit measurement data to cloud platforms or user systems.
The device is built for locations where wired monitoring is difficult or costly. Using LoRa wireless communication, the sensor can send environmental readings over long distances while maintaining very low power consumption. This makes it suitable for distributed monitoring networks where devices must operate for years without maintenance.
Connectivity and Communication
The terminal uses LoRa wireless technology to send collected data to a gateway, which then forwards the information to cloud platforms or customer systems. This approach enables long-distance communication while using very little energy, making it well suited for remote monitoring deployments.
The device supports both a proprietary communication protocol and the LoRaWAN protocol, allowing integration with standard IoT infrastructure. In outdoor environments, communication can reach distances of about 4.2 km, while indoor signals can penetrate multiple building floors.
Monitoring Capabilities
The FST100 continuously measures environmental temperature and humidity using an integrated digital sensor. The temperature measurement range spans from −40 °C to 125 °C, while humidity readings cover the full 0–100% RH range.
High sensor accuracy allows reliable environmental monitoring in applications where precise measurements are required. The system also supports data visualization, analysis, and alarm notifications through the associated sensor cloud platform and mobile application.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The device is optimized for long-term unattended operation. A built-in 3.6 V 8200 mAh lithium battery supports multi-year deployments thanks to ultra-low power operation and deep sleep modes.
Battery life depends on the reporting interval and transmission settings. For example, typical deployments can operate for several years when sending data every 5 to 10 minutes. The terminal also operates in industrial conditions with a working temperature range of −20 °C to +60 °C.
Device Design and Installation
The enclosure uses PC+ABS materials designed for outdoor durability, including UV resistance and flame-retardant properties. An IP67 protection rating ensures the device is sealed against dust and water, allowing reliable operation in harsh environments.
The compact housing (approximately 90 × 65 × 34.5 mm) allows easy wall mounting. Installation and configuration can be performed using NFC or a Type-C interface, simplifying deployment in large sensor networks.
