FST200 Description
Core Purpose
The FST200 is a wireless sensor terminal designed to collect environmental or equipment data and transmit it remotely using LoRa communication. It acts as a bridge between field sensors and monitoring platforms, allowing sensor information to be sent over long distances without complex infrastructure.
The device is built for situations where sensors must operate in remote or difficult environments. Its low-power LoRa communication allows data to travel long distances while keeping energy usage minimal, making it suitable for long-term monitoring deployments.
The terminal works with multiple types of sensors, such as temperature, water level, and pressure sensors. These sensors send measurement data to the FST200, which then forwards the information through a LoRa network to a gateway and cloud platform for monitoring and analysis.
Connectivity and Communication
The FST200 communicates using LoRa wireless technology and supports both private LoRa protocols and LoRaWAN. This allows the device to integrate with existing LoRa networks or proprietary deployments depending on system requirements.
The device operates on multiple LoRa frequency bands including 433 MHz, 470 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz. This flexibility helps the terminal adapt to regional spectrum requirements and different IoT deployments.
LoRa communication enables long-range transmission with minimal power consumption. According to the specification table, the device can reach up to 5 km communication distance outdoors and can penetrate up to 10 floors indoors, supporting deployments in large facilities or distributed monitoring environments.
Monitoring and Data Collection
The terminal is designed to connect with various sensors that measure environmental or equipment conditions. Through its analog and digital interfaces, it can gather signals from devices such as pressure sensors, water level sensors, or PT100 temperature sensors.
Analog inputs allow the device to capture current signals such as 0–20 mA and voltage signals up to 5 V, which are common output formats for industrial sensors. Digital inputs and outputs support simple signal monitoring and control operations.
This flexibility enables the terminal to collect data from multiple field devices and deliver that information to centralized monitoring platforms. Once the data reaches the network gateway, it can be viewed and analyzed through the Four-Faith sensor cloud platform or mobile application.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The FST200 is designed for long-term outdoor deployments where reliable operation is critical. The enclosure uses ABS+PC material with IP67 protection, providing resistance against dust, water ingress, and harsh environmental conditions.
The device can operate in a wide temperature range. The DC-powered version supports –35°C to +75°C, allowing it to function in both cold and hot outdoor environments.
For remote installations without stable power, a battery-powered model includes a 3.6V 19000mAh lithium battery, enabling long operational life with ultra-low power consumption. Alternatively, the DC-powered version can operate using a 5–36 V input power supply, with 12 V commonly used.
Expansion and I/O Support
The FST200 includes multiple communication and signal interfaces to support different sensor types and integration scenarios. RS232 and RS485 interfaces enable connection to industrial devices and external controllers.
Digital signal ports support low-voltage input and output operations, allowing the device to monitor status signals or trigger simple control functions. Analog interfaces support voltage and current measurement from connected sensors.
The device also provides regulated 3.3 V and 12 V output channels, which can supply power to connected sensors or peripheral equipment. This allows field sensors to be powered directly from the terminal, simplifying installation in remote locations.
Configuration and maintenance can be performed through NFC or a Type-C interface, enabling quick device setup without complex configuration tools.
