GB100P Description
Core Purpose
The GB100P is a battery-mounted insurance telematics device designed for low-cost and large-scale deployments. It is mounted directly to the vehicle battery, allowing fast installation without complex wiring. This design supports customer self-installation and reduces operational cost.
Connectivity and Communication
The device operates on GSM/GPRS networks, enabling worldwide deployment. OTA control supports remote configuration and firmware updates. Built-in BLE 4.2 enables connectivity with wireless accessories such as BLE key fobs.
Positioning and Tracking
A u-blox all-in-one GNSS receiver provides reliable positioning data. The device supports 1-second GPS sampling while the vehicle is in motion. This allows accurate trip reconstruction and detailed driving analysis.
Monitoring and Safety Functions
The GB100P supports driving behavior monitoring, speed alarms, and parking alarms. Crash data packets are recorded using onboard motion sensors, capturing data before and after an incident. Geo-fences support up to 20 preset regions.
Power and Installation
The device is powered directly from the vehicle battery and includes a high-temperature NiMH backup battery. Low power consumption supports long-term operation. Compact size allows discreet installation near the battery.
Sensors and Motion Detection
An internal 3-axis accelerometer and MEMS gyroscope enable high-frequency motion detection. This supports accurate driving behavior analysis and crash data collection.
