GV300CAN Description
Core Purpose
The GV300CAN is a compact GNSS tracking device designed for vehicles that require direct access to CAN bus and J1708 data. It supports both heavy-duty and commercial vehicles, making it suitable for mixed fleet environments. The device acts as a central telematics unit for tracking and vehicle data collection.
Connectivity and Communication
The device operates on GSM/GPRS networks, supporting worldwide deployment. OTA control allows remote configuration, firmware updates, and long-term device management. Built-in BLE 4.2 enables wireless accessory connectivity.
Vehicle Data and CAN Support
The GV300CAN features integrated CAN bus and J1708 ports for decoding vehicle digital bus data. It supports reading data without cutting or soldering vehicle cables. Virtual odometer support enables mileage tracking based on decoded vehicle data.
Positioning and Tracking
A u-blox all-in-one GNSS receiver provides reliable positioning with autonomous accuracy under 2.5 meters. Location data supports real-time tracking, route history, and geo-fence alerts. Buffer memory supports up to 10,000 stored messages.
Monitoring and Safety Functions
The device supports driving behavior monitoring, crash detection, motion detection, and tow detection. Power on/off reports and low power alarms support operational awareness. Event-based reporting enables timely response to incidents.
Expansion and Accessory Support
Multiple interfaces support external accessories for fuel level monitoring, temperature sensing, driver identification, and cameras. RS232, 1-wire, CAN, and digital I/O interfaces provide flexible integration options. BLE supports wireless key fobs and sensors.
