The GV500CG is a compact LTE Cat 1 OBD tracker designed for modern vehicle tracking and insurance telematics applications. Its small size allows easy installation in almost all car models. The device combines tracking, safety monitoring, and connectivity in a future-proof network design.
Connectivity and Communication
The device operates on LTE Cat 1 networks with 2G fallback, ensuring reliable communication across EMEA and LATAM regions. OTA control supports remote configuration, firmware updates, and ongoing device management. Buffer memory supports up to 10,000 stored messages.
Positioning and Tracking
An all-in-one GNSS receiver provides accurate positioning with autonomous accuracy under 2 meters. Location data supports real-time tracking, route history, and geo-fence alerts. This enables effective vehicle visibility for fleet and insurance operators.
Monitoring and Safety Functions
The GV500CG supports driving behavior monitoring, crash detection, and tow alarms. Virtual ignition detection enables movement-based status monitoring without a physical ignition wire. These functions support road safety analysis and theft prevention.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The device operates on a wide 8–32V DC input range, making it suitable for standard passenger vehicles. A small internal backup battery supports reporting during temporary power loss. The device is designed to operate in temperatures from -20°C to +60°C.
Expansion and Installation
BLE 5.2 enables support for wireless accessories and future integrations. Internal GNSS, cellular, and BLE antennas simplify installation and reduce wiring complexity. A Micro USB interface is used for configuration and firmware upgrades.
