GV850CEU Description
Core Purpose
The GV850 Series is a Linux-based telematics gateway designed for vehicles that require advanced data access and control. It acts as a central device that connects vehicle systems, collects operational data, and transmits it to backend platforms. The device is built to support both commercial and industrial vehicle environments.
Connectivity and Communication
The gateway uses LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback to ensure stable communication across different network conditions. This allows continuous data transmission even in regions with limited cellular coverage. It is suitable for long-term deployments in mixed network environments.
Vehicle Data and CANBus Support
The GV850 Series supports advanced CANBus data reading for multiple vehicle types. It is compatible with J1939, FMS, and OBD CAN, enabling access to vehicle performance and diagnostic data. Support for remote tachograph file (DDD) and live data downloading allows compliant fleet data collection.
Positioning and Tracking
A multi-constellation GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou systems. This improves positioning reliability in different geographic and urban conditions. Accurate location data supports fleet visibility and route monitoring.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The device operates on a wide 8–32V DC power range, making it compatible with standard vehicle electrical systems. An internal rechargeable backup battery helps maintain operation during temporary power loss. It is designed for use across a wide operating temperature range.
Expansion and I/O Support
Multiple interfaces allow connection to external sensors, vehicle systems, and peripherals. These include CAN, RS232, RS485, 1-wire, analog inputs, and digital inputs and outputs. BLE 5.2 enables short-range wireless device connectivity.
