CT10x Description
Core Purpose
The CT10x is a smart current transformer built for simple, non-invasive energy monitoring in indoor electrical systems. It measures RMS current and accumulated current data, then sends the readings remotely over LoRaWAN for centralized visibility. Its clamp-style detachable design allows fast installation on live conductors without shutting down equipment, which makes it practical for retrofits and active facilities.
Connectivity and Communication
This device uses LoRaWAN Class A communication to send current data, threshold alerts, and overrange alarms to standard gateways and network servers. This gives users dependable long-range reporting for smart buildings, machine monitoring, and other distributed electrical assets. USB Type-C is also available for local configuration, console access, firmware updates, and optional cable temperature sensor connection, making deployment and maintenance easier.
Monitoring and Detection Capabilities
The CT10x is designed for continuous current monitoring with a sampling frequency up to 3.3 kHz and reporting as fast as 1 second when real-time visibility is needed. In practice, this helps teams quickly spot unusual current behavior, overload conditions, or early machine faults before they become larger failures. Threshold alarms and overrange alarms further support fast response by notifying operators when electrical activity moves outside normal limits.
Power and Environmental Suitability
A major advantage of the CT10x is its self-powered operation through induced current, removing the need for batteries or extra wiring in most installations. When lower-current measurement or setup flexibility is needed, it can also be powered by 5V USB Type-C. Its IP30 housing, UL94 V0 flame-rated material, and operating range of -20°C to 70°C make it suitable for indoor industrial cabinets, building panels, and equipment rooms.
Expansion and I/O Support
The device includes practical expansion support through USB Type-C, which can connect an optional NTC temperature sensor for cable temperature measurement. This allows users to combine electrical load visibility with thermal awareness in the same monitoring point. The detachable CT101/CT103 design also improves installation flexibility in narrow or difficult panel spaces
Product Variants
The CT10x Smart Current Transformer is available in CT101 and CT103 versions, both featuring the same detachable clamp design, LoRaWAN connectivity, self-powered operation, and real-time RMS current monitoring for smart energy management.
The CT101 is designed for electrical lines up to 100A, making it ideal for branch circuits, lighting panels, office power lines, and smaller machines. The CT103 supports higher-current lines up to 250A, making it better suited for HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, distribution boards, and larger industrial equipment.
