The DS3604 is a 4.2-inch IoT e-ink display designed for clear, low-power visual communication in indoor smart workplace and signage environments. It uses a three-color black, white, and red screen to present names, reservation status, QR codes, images, and text in a format that remains easy to read from almost any angle. Its main strength is simple, long-term information display without the maintenance burden of wired power.
Connectivity and Communication
The display uses LoRaWAN® connectivity to receive updates remotely through standard gateways and network servers, making it suitable for large buildings or multi-room deployments. This allows administrators to push new content, update room or desk status, and manage many displays at once without visiting each unit individually. Support for multicast bulk configuration further improves efficiency when the same layout or content must be applied across multiple screens.
For quick local setup, the device also includes NFC configuration through a mobile app, which makes deployment easier during installation or maintenance. This is especially useful when changing templates, assigning devices, or updating settings directly at the display location.
Display and Content Flexibility
The 400 × 300 pixel e-ink panel is built for clean text and simple visual elements such as QR codes and icons. Because it supports up to 150 languages, it fits multilingual office environments, hotels, campuses, and public-facing spaces where localized communication matters. Template customization allows teams to keep branding and formatting consistent while still updating the actual displayed content dynamically.
Power and Environmental Suitability
A major advantage of the DS3604 is its ultra-low power design, powered by three CR2450 batteries. In Class A mode with one daily refresh, the battery can last for around 5 years, which greatly reduces service visits and maintenance costs. This makes it practical for large-scale deployments where hundreds of displays may be installed across walls, desks, or meeting areas.
Its IP30 indoor enclosure, slim body, and wall mounting support using 3M tape or screws make it easy to place in offices, conference rooms, hot desk zones, and reception spaces. The compact 99 × 87 × 10.5 mm size helps it blend naturally into professional environments without looking intrusive.
