EM300-MLD Description
Core Purpose
The EM300-MLD is built to detect liquid leaks across a wider surface area than point-based sensors. Its flexible printed membrane makes it suitable for covering floors, cabinet bases, equipment edges, and other flat surfaces where water or conductive liquid may spread. This helps teams identify leaks early before they reach critical systems or cause operational downtime.
Connectivity and Communication
The sensor uses LoRaWAN for long-range wireless reporting, making it easy to deploy without complex wiring. Once a leak is detected, it can send alerts to remote monitoring platforms so maintenance teams can respond quickly. It also supports local data storage with retransmission, which helps preserve event history if the network is temporarily unavailable. NFC setup keeps installation simple, especially for larger rollouts.
Monitoring and Detection Capabilities
Its main strength is the reusable printed leakage film, which can be customized to fit the protected area. The sensor reacts when conductive liquid spreads across more than 1.5 cm of the membrane, enabling reliable leak event detection for water, weak acids, or weak bases. Built-in alarm, local record storage, and Milesight D2D support also allow fast local responses where gateway-free low-latency actions are useful.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The built-in 4000 mAh battery supports up to 10 years of service in typical low-reporting environments, reducing maintenance needs. Its IP67 enclosure and UV-resistant housing help it remain dependable in humid, dusty, or exposed industrial spaces. The operating range of -30°C to 70°C also makes it suitable for both climate-controlled rooms and harsher utility areas.
Expansion and Installation
The leakage-detecting film uses a customizable cable length and can be mounted with 3M tape, while the transceiver supports wall screw, tape, or cable-tie installation. This flexible mounting approach makes it easy to adapt the device to cabinets, floor edges, server racks, and storage zones without changing the monitoring logic. The optional 8000 mAh version is also useful where battery replacement access is limited.
