EM400-MUD Description
Overview
The EM400-MUD is a multifunctional ultrasonic distance sensor designed for small-range areas and small blind spots. Switchable pre-set modes adapt it to waste management, parking and general distance measurement over LoRaWAN.
Precise Ultrasonic Detection
Ultrasonic sensing covers 3 to 450 cm with ±(1+0.3%×S) cm accuracy and 1 mm resolution across a 60° beam, enabling reliable fill-level and occupancy monitoring with minimal blind zone.
3-in-1 Sensing
Beyond distance, a built-in NTC temperature sensor detects trash burning, while a 3-axis accelerometer monitors device tilt and bin-lid status for comprehensive smart-waste and parking applications.
Pre-Set Operating Modes
Standard, bin and parking lot modes ship with tuned collection and reporting intervals, so the sensor integrates quickly without manual tuning for each use case.
Rugged Outdoor Design
IP67 waterproofing, a damp-proof internal coating and two high-capacity ER26500 batteries support up to 10 years of operation in harsh outdoor environments.
Flexible Connectivity
The LoRaWAN version integrates with Milesight gateways and IoT Cloud. An NB-IoT/Cat.M variant with GNSS positioning is also available for cellular deployments.
