UF51 Description
Core Purpose
UF51 is a 5G CPE designed to provide high-speed wireless connectivity for both indoor and outdoor deployments. It combines cellular networking, wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and industrial interfaces in a single IP67 enclosure. The device supports 5G Sub-6 networks with speeds up to 4.67 Gbps, making it suitable for bandwidth-heavy applications such as video transmission and remote system control.
Connectivity and Communication
UF51 supports 5G SA/NSA with 4G LTE and WCDMA fallback. This allows continuous connectivity across different network generations when signal conditions change. It includes two Ethernet ports: one 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN port and one 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps LAN/WAN port. This enables flexible deployment as either a primary WAN gateway or a local network bridge. Wi-Fi 6 dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) supports up to 3.6 Gbps combined wireless throughput. With 4×4 MIMO, it can serve multiple devices simultaneously while maintaining stable speeds. For secure communication, the device supports VPN technologies such as IPsec and OpenVPN. It also includes WAN failover to automatically switch between Ethernet, cellular, and Wi-Fi connections.
Positioning and Tracking
UF51 includes built-in GNSS support with GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, and QZSS. Multi-constellation support improves positioning accuracy and reliability, especially in complex outdoor environments. This enables location-aware networking, asset positioning, and deployment tracking in distributed installations.
Expansion and Industrial Integration
The device includes one RS485 serial port (RS232 optional), supporting baud rates from 300 bps to 230400 bps. This allows integration with PLCs, RTUs, meters, and industrial controllers. It also provides 1 digital input (DI) and 1 digital output (DO) with galvanic isolation, supporting up to 0.3A at 30VDC. These interfaces enable event-triggered monitoring and external device control. USB 3.0 (Type-C) is available for debugging and network supply. Node-RED support enables custom logic and automation workflows directly on the device.
Power and Environmental Suitability
UF51 supports 9–48V DC input and 802.3at PoE power. This wide voltage range makes it adaptable to industrial and field deployments. Power consumption is 4.8W typical (without Wi-Fi) and up to 14.4W maximum (with Wi-Fi enabled). The enclosure is IP67 rated and built with polycarbonate and cast aluminum. It operates between –30°C and +60°C and supports up to 95% non-condensing humidity. Multiple mounting options—including desktop, wall, pole, and bottom screw mounting—allow flexible installation.
