VS340 Description
Overview
The VS340 is a LoRaWAN desk and seat occupancy sensor built around a highly sensitive PIR. It is the cost-effective member of the VS34x family, made for general hot desking and seat usage needs.
Detection
PIR detection covers a 107° by 107° area within 1 m of the desk. The sensor reports whether a workstation is in use, with up to 95% recognition and fully anonymous output.
Response
Status updates are fast, with occupied detected in about 13 seconds and vacant in about 60 seconds. This near real-time behaviour suits booking systems and live availability displays.
Flexibility
Five interchangeable covers tune the detection angle to different desks and scenarios. This focuses the sensor on the target seat and avoids counting movement from neighbours.
Power
Low-power LoRaWAN gives a long battery life of up to 10 years from a single ER18505 cell. NFC configuration and peel-and-stick mounting make bulk deployment quick.
Integration
The Milesight D2D protocol lets the sensor talk to other Milesight devices without a gateway. It can drive a DS3604 E-ink display to show whether a workstation is free.
