VS341 Description
Overview
The VS341 is a LoRaWAN desk and seat occupancy sensor that pairs a sensitive PIR with a thermopile. It is the high-accuracy member of the VS34x family, made for applications that need dependable seat-level data.
Dual Technology
PIR captures motion while the thermopile reads temperature variation in the target area. Combining both signals confirms genuine occupancy and raises recognition to up to 98%.
Response
Status updates are fast, with occupied detected in about 13 seconds and vacant in about 60 seconds. This near real-time behaviour suits booking systems and live availability displays.
Flexibility
Five interchangeable covers tune the detection angle to different desks and scenarios. This focuses the sensor on the target seat and avoids counting movement from neighbours.
Power
Low-power LoRaWAN gives a long battery life of up to 10 years from a single ER18505 cell. NFC configuration and peel-and-stick mounting make bulk deployment quick.
Integration
The Milesight D2D protocol lets the sensor talk to other Milesight devices without a gateway. It can drive a DS3604 E-ink display to show whether a workstation is free.
