VS361 Description
Overview
The VS361 is an entry-level storefront footfall sensor that measures passing traffic trends. It helps retailers understand and improve store conversion with minimal installation effort.
Technology
The sensor uses diffuse reflective infrared at 940 nm to detect people passing in front of a store. An adjustment knob sets the detection distance anywhere from 1 m to 9 m.
Adaptability
An IP65-rated enclosure lets the VS361 work in varied storefront environments, including semi-outdoor positions. The wide adjustable range fits many storefront layouts.
Retail Insight
VS361 tracks passers-by outside the store, showing potential customer volume. Paired with VS125 Series or VS13x in-store counters, it enables full store conversion rate analysis.
Integration
A single NPN open-collector output connects through a 3.5 mm terminal block to a counter or controller. It draws under 0.9 W and accepts PoE or a 12-60 V DC supply.
Value
As a low-cost first step into footfall analytics, the VS361 is quick to deploy and simple to set up. Retailers can start seeing passing-traffic trends with little upfront effort.
