WS202 Description
Overview
The WS202 is a LoRaWAN PIR and light sensor that detects motion or occupancy using passive infrared and a Fresnel lens. It reports presence over LoRaWAN to drive lighting, alarms and automation across connected spaces.
Motion Detection
A passive infrared sensor covers 120° horizontal and 100° vertical, detecting movement up to 8 m. It reliably flags whether a room or zone is occupied or vacant.
Light Sensing
A built-in light sensor reports bright or dark against a custom threshold from 1 to 60000 lux. Combined with PIR, it can trigger scenes only when needed, such as lighting on motion after dark.
Direct Control
Milesight D2D lets the WS202 talk directly to other Milesight devices without a gateway, enabling ultra-low-latency local automation. LoRa coverage reaches up to 15 km line of sight.
Power
A single ER14335 battery delivers around four years of operation, so the compact sensor can be placed anywhere without wiring or frequent maintenance.
Setup
One-touch NFC configuration through the Milesight ToolBox app makes setup quick. Mount it on flat surfaces with screws or 3M tape.
