WS558 Description
Core Purpose
The WS558 is built for simple and flexible control of indoor electrical circuits such as lights, fans, heaters, and similar powered equipment. It supports up to 8 circuits and is available in both LN and switch types, making it easier to match different room wiring layouts without expensive rewiring work. This makes it especially useful for renovation projects and smart building upgrades where existing wiring needs to stay in place.
Connectivity and Communication
The device uses LoRaWAN for reliable long-range wireless communication, allowing lights and connected circuits to be controlled remotely through a web page or mobile app. For faster local automation, it also supports Milesight D2D communication, which enables direct device-to-device control without needing a gateway. This is helpful for instant actions such as wall switch triggers, occupancy-based control, or grouped switching across multiple rooms.
Monitoring and Control
Beyond switching, the WS558 can also measure voltage, current, power, power factor, and total energy consumption in the LN version. This gives facility teams better visibility into how circuits are performing and helps support smarter power management decisions. Local switch buttons also make it easy to test and verify each connected circuit directly after installation.
Power and Installation
The wide 100–240 VAC input range makes the controller suitable for common building power systems. Its wall-mount and DIN rail mounting support gives installers flexibility for electrical cabinets, control boxes, or direct wall deployment. The compact ABS housing and operating range of -20°C to +60°C help it fit typical indoor commercial and industrial environments.
Expansion and Device Management
Setup is designed to be simple with NFC one-touch configuration, USB Type-C access, or remote downlink configuration. This reduces installation time and makes ongoing maintenance easier for technical teams. Features such as multicast control, delay switching, and overcurrent alarms further improve large-scale lighting control and safer daily operation.

The LN Type is designed for direct control of lights, fans, and other electrical loads, while also providing real-time energy monitoring for smarter usage tracking. The Switch Type is ideal for existing switch wiring, external relays, PLCs, and automation systems, offering a dry contact output for flexible integration without directly supplying power to the load.
