GL502MG Description
Long-Term Asset Tracking
The device is designed for long-term monitoring of valuable assets such as containers and trailers. Its rugged design allows it to be installed directly on equipment that operates in challenging outdoor environments.
A large 57000 mAh battery supports extremely long deployments, allowing the tracker to operate for up to 10 years in standby mode. This reduces maintenance needs and makes it suitable for assets that rarely receive service.
Reliable Positioning
The tracker combines GNSS positioning with Wi-Fi scanning, giving it multiple ways to determine location. This helps maintain location visibility in areas where satellite signals may be weak.
With position accuracy below 2.5 meters, the device can provide precise asset location information. This is important for logistics operations where equipment needs to be located quickly.
Connectivity and Communication
The device operates on LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT networks, providing reliable connectivity for IoT tracking applications. These networks are designed for low-power devices and wide-area coverage.
The tracker can send data using standard communication methods and supports scheduled reports. This allows users to define how often the device sends location updates.
Monitoring and Alerts
Built-in monitoring features help detect important events during operation. Motion detection based on an internal accelerometer allows the device to recognize when an asset starts moving.
The system also supports up to 20 geo-fence regions, enabling alerts when equipment enters or leaves defined areas. Low-power alerts notify users when the battery level becomes low.
Power Efficiency
Power management is a key part of the device design. Intelligent reporting schedules help reduce unnecessary communication, extending battery life.
Because the battery is user-replaceable, the device can continue operating for extended deployment cycles without needing full hardware replacement.
Installation and Interfaces
The rugged IP68 enclosure protects the device from dust, water, and harsh weather. This makes it suitable for outdoor logistics environments.
Internal antennas simplify installation while maintaining stable communication. A USB Type-C interface allows technicians to update firmware or perform diagnostics when needed.
