WR220LEU Description
Core Purpose
The WR220LEU is built to provide stable internet connectivity for industrial environments where downtime is not acceptable. It connects equipment, sensors, and systems to a central network, allowing continuous data flow and remote access. This makes it suitable for locations where wired infrastructure is limited or unreliable.
Connectivity and Communication
The router uses LTE Cat 4 for primary connectivity, with dual SIM support that automatically switches when signal or network issues occur. This helps maintain a continuous connection without manual intervention. It also supports Wi-Fi 5, allowing nearby devices to connect locally while sharing the cellular network.
Wired connectivity is handled through 1 WAN and 3 LAN Ethernet ports, making it easy to integrate with existing network setups. VPN support ensures that all transmitted data remains secure across public and private networks.
Positioning and Tracking
The built-in GNSS receiver supports multiple satellite systems, improving positioning reliability in different environments. This allows the device to provide accurate real-time location data, typically within a few meters.
This is useful for tracking mobile deployments or monitoring fixed assets across wide areas. Location data can be viewed through a web interface or remote platform.
Monitoring and Data Integration
The router supports BLE 5.2, enabling it to collect data from nearby wireless sensors. This reduces the need for additional gateways and simplifies deployment.
It also includes RS232 and RS485 interfaces, allowing direct communication with industrial equipment such as PLCs. This makes it possible to gather operational data and send it to cloud platforms for monitoring and analysis.
Power and Environmental Suitability
The device operates within a wide voltage range of 8–32V DC, making it compatible with different power systems. It is designed to function in temperatures from –30°C to +75°C, allowing use in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Its compact metal enclosure supports installation in control cabinets or field deployments where space is limited.
Expansion and I/O Support
The router includes configurable digital input and output interfaces, enabling interaction with external systems such as alarms or sensors. This allows event-based actions like triggering alerts or controlling connected devices.
Additional support for USB and serial communication expands its ability to connect with different types of equipment, making it adaptable for various industrial setups.
