TS201 Description
Core Purpose
TS201 is a compact LoRaWAN temperature sensor designed for accurate and reliable temperature monitoring in demanding environments. It uses a high-precision DS18B20 probe to measure temperature across a wide range from –40°C to +125°C. The device is built for environments where stable temperature control is critical, such as cold storage, food handling, and regulated facilities. Its detachable probe allows easier calibration and flexible placement.
Connectivity and Communication
TS201 communicates using LoRaWAN®, enabling long-range wireless data transmission with low power consumption. It works with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers, allowing centralized remote monitoring. The device also supports Milesight D2D communication for direct device-to-device data exchange when required. Firmware Update Over the Air (FUOTA) allows remote maintenance without physical access. Configuration is simple through NFC using a mobile app, reducing installation time in the field.
Monitoring and Data Management
The sensor continuously measures temperature and reports data at configured intervals. It supports threshold alarms and abrupt change alerts to notify users when temperature conditions move outside acceptable limits. To protect data integrity, the device stores up to 4000 records locally and supports retransmission. If connectivity is temporarily lost, stored data can be resent once the network is restored. A built-in LED indicator provides clear visual feedback about device status.
Power and Environmental Suitability
TS201 operates on a 2700 mAh ER14505 Li-SOCl₂ battery designed for long-term deployment. Under typical 10-minute reporting intervals, battery life can reach up to 10 years depending on network conditions. The device operates within –30°C to +55°C and supports up to 95% non-condensing humidity. Its IP67-rated enclosure protects against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for industrial and refrigerated environments. The stainless steel probe (food-grade) supports hygienic installation in food and pharmaceutical storage areas.
Installation and Physical Design
The compact 58 × 65 × 25 mm housing allows installation in confined spaces. A 1.5-meter sensor cable provides flexible probe positioning. TS201 supports wall screw mounting, cable-tie mounting, and optional magnetic mounting. A single external power button and LED indicator simplify operation and status checking.
