Overview
The F-R100WM is a wireless M-Bus gateway for Advanced Metering Infrastructure in the European energy market. It follows EN13757-3 and reads heat, water, electricity and gas metres, then forwards the payload to a cloud server over 3G, 4G or Ethernet.
The radio works on the licence-exempt 169/433/868 MHz bands, with a range of up to 800 m. It supports S, T, C and N modes, master or repeater roles, and up to 200 slaves at once. Listen, normal or Install mode is selected according to how open the network is.
WAN options include static IP, DHCP, L2TP, PPTP, PPPoE and cellular. The gateway speaks TCP, UDP, FTP and HTTP, with AES-128 encryption, and is managed over SYSLOG, SNMP, Telnet, SSH and HTTPS. Configuration is through the web interface or CLI, with local and remote firmware updates.
A 32-bit industrial CPU, hardware and software watchdog, and an anti-drop mechanism keep the unit online. The IP30 case runs from –35 °C to +75 °C on DC 5–36 V. Ethernet and SIM interfaces include 15 kV ESD protection; the power input has reverse-polarity, over-voltage and lightning protection.

Applications
Reads heat and water metres over wireless M-Bus and sends scheduled or transparent frames to the AMI server on 4G or Ethernet.
Collects electricity and gas metre data from up to 200 slaves on 169/433/868 MHz, then forwards it with AES-128 protection.
Sits on a plant or cabinet LAN with 1 × WAN and 4 × LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and GPIO for alarms, while the M-Bus radio covers the metre hall.
