Overview
The WR310 is an industrial 5G router built to give remote sites, machinery, and field assets a dependable way to get online. It brings 5G speed, secure networking, and flexible interfaces together in one compact unit designed for long-term operation. Its OpenWrt-based system provides a stable environment for routing, VPN, and management tasks, while the dual-core ARM processor keeps performance consistent even when multiple services are active.
The router uses 5G NR with LTE and WCDMA fallback so operations can continue smoothly in areas with mixed network availability. Dual SIM with automatic switching ensures continuity if a carrier experiences outages or weak coverage. Four gigabit Ethernet ports allow local devices–controllers, sensors, cameras or laptops–to connect directly without extra hardware.
Wi-Fi 6 adds fast short-range connectivity for staff access or equipment that needs wireless links. VPN options such as IPsec and OpenVPN enable secure remote access, while firewall tools help protect systems connected behind the router. Together, these features give operators a reliable way to link local equipment to cloud services, control rooms, or private networks.
The built-in GNSS module provides location data with high accuracy, which is valuable for mapping remote installations, verifying asset placement, or supporting mobile equipment deployments. Fast start times allow the device to regain its position quickly after power cycles or downtime. This helps ensure that monitoring platforms always know where each device is installed or deployed.
The WR310 constantly checks the health of its network connection. It can run scheduled link tests and automatically restore connectivity through reboot or SIM change if needed. Diagnostic tools–such as ping, traceroute, and packet capture–give technicians the ability to troubleshoot issues remotely.
SMS commands offer an additional fallback channel for reboots, SIM switching, or status requests when IP communication is unavailable. Queclink RMS provides centralised visibility across fleets, enabling firmware updates, configuration tasks, alerts, and analytics from a single platform. This reduces on-site work and speeds up responses to network issues.
With a wide 8–32 V DC power input, the WR310 integrates easily into most industrial cabinets and DC supply systems. The low typical power consumption helps when the device is installed in solar-powered or energy-limited sites. Its –30 °C to 70 °C operating range and aluminium enclosure make it suitable for demanding industrial environments.
DIN-rail mounting allows quick installation beside PLCs, metres, and other automation hardware. The rugged housing also helps manage heat and provides mechanical durability.
RS232 and RS485 ports allow the WR310 to interface directly with legacy industrial equipment such as sensors, metres, and controllers. Digital I/O adds simple monitoring or control capabilities for doors, alarms, or relays.
Multiple SMA and RP-SMA antenna ports provide flexibility for 5G, Wi-Fi, and GNSS installations, ensuring stable links in cabinets or shielded environments. LED indicators show power, network, Wi-Fi, GNSS, mobile status and signal strength, making on-site checks quick and intuitive.

Applications
The WR310 provides stable connectivity for machinery and control systems through 5G, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and serial ports. These links allow PLCs, sensors, and production equipment to send data reliably and stay reachable for remote adjustments. Dual SIM and automated link checks help keep operations running even when one connection fails.
Energy sites such as substations, solar installations, and distributed power assets benefit from the WR310’s wide voltage range, GNSS support, and rugged temperature tolerance. It can report equipment status, maintain encrypted communication channels, and continue operating in harsh or remote conditions. Remote reboot and SIM switching reduce field maintenance needs.
Pipelines, roadside equipment, and water systems can use the WR310 as a communication hub when fixed lines are unavailable. Its 5G/LTE connectivity, digital I/O, and serial interfaces let operators monitor alarms, collect readings, and manage equipment from a central location. Automated failover and diagnostics help maintain uptime across dispersed sites.
At edge nodes, the WR310 supplies reliable communication paths for small compute units and connected sensors. Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and 5G allow data to move smoothly from local devices to cloud platforms or private networks. VPN options and remote management simplify secure deployment at scale.
For distributed renewable sites, environmental monitoring cabinets, and smart-metre networks, the WR310 offers consistent communication and precise GNSS location. It supports reporting from sensors and controllers while maintaining secure remote access for updates and troubleshooting. Its efficient power draw makes it suitable for energy-limited installations.
While not installed inside vehicles, the WR310 can serve roadside stations, depot systems, or charging infrastructure that needs a stable link to control centres. Its GNSS, multiple antennas, and dual-SIM backup help ensure the site remains connected at all times. Technicians can diagnose issues remotely using its built-in tools.
