Overview
Milesight UR75 is an industrial router built to connect machines and field equipment to the network in places where normal office hardware is not a good fit. It’s designed for M2M and IoT deployments where uptime matters and devices may be spread across many sites.
UR75 can connect over cellular and also through local wired or wireless networks, so you can choose what fits each site. With 5G SA/NSA support, it’s suited to modern carrier networks where higher bandwidth and coverage are needed. It also supports dual SIM so the router can stay online by switching between carriers when one link has issues. Wi-Fi 6 adds a fast local connection option for nearby equipment or on-site network access.
For protected communications, UR75 supports VPN tunnels such as IPsec and OpenVPN, helping keep data private when it travels over public networks. It also includes built-in recovery features like a hardware watchdog to automatically reboot and restore service after certain faults. For day-to-day operations, DeviceHub and the web interface help teams configure and manage devices remotely, including centralised setup for multiple units.
UR75 is made to connect more than just network cables. With RS232/RS485, it can link to industrial controllers, metres, and legacy equipment, and pass collected data onward over the network. It also provides digital input and output for simple on-off signals, which can help with basic status checks or remote control in integrated systems.

Applications
In energy and utility environments, the UR75 connects substations, metres, and monitoring equipment through 5G or LTE networks. Dual SIM failover ensures continuous data transmission for grid monitoring and control. Serial interfaces and Modbus gateway functionality allow integration with legacy industrial equipment.
Manufacturing facilities can use the UR75 to connect PLCs, controllers, and machines via RS232/RS485 and Gigabit Ethernet. Its wide temperature tolerance and DIN rail mounting make it suitable for control cabinets. Secure VPN connectivity protects production data across remote sites.
For digital signage, kiosks, and payment systems, the router provides high-speed 5G connectivity with WAN failover. Optional PoE support simplifies powering connected devices. Wi-Fi 6 allows local device connectivity within stores or commercial environments.
The UR75 supports remote telemetry devices through cellular and Ethernet networks. GNSS positioning enables location-aware monitoring systems. Its wide voltage input range supports deployment in field enclosures and outdoor cabinets.
In banking terminals and payment systems, reliable connectivity is critical. The router’s VPN support, dual SIM backup, and watchdog protection help maintain secure, continuous communication between devices and central servers.
