Overview
The F8L10T is an industrial LoRa data transmission terminal designed for reliable wireless communication between field devices and control systems. It enables serial equipment to send and receive data over long distances using LoRa spread spectrum technology.
This device is commonly used in machine-to-machine (M2M) environments where wired connectivity is difficult or expensive. It supports applications such as industrial monitoring, telemetry systems, and remote equipment control.
The terminal communicates using LoRa wireless technology and supports global frequency bands including 433 MHz, 470 MHz, 780 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz. This allows the device to be deployed across different regional networks while maintaining stable long-distance communication.
Depending on the model, the device supports transmission power up to 30 dBm (1 W) and receiver sensitivity down to –140 dBm, enabling reliable communication even in challenging environments. Outdoor line-of-sight communication can reach up to 11.5 km, while indoor or urban environments typically support distances up to 2 km.
Flexible bandwidth options from 0.3 to 5.5 Kbps allow the device to adapt to different data transmission needs, balancing range and data throughput.
The device supports self-organising LoRa networking and can operate as both a relay node and a terminal device. This allows multiple devices to form a communication network that can extend coverage without relying on traditional infrastructure.
Network capacity can reach up to 65,000 nodes, with a typical deployment supporting around 300 nodes in practical applications. Data can be transmitted either through broadcast messaging or through destination address communication depending on the network design.
The F8L10T provides industrial serial connectivity through 1 RS232 port and 1 RS485 (or RS422) port, enabling direct integration with sensors, PLCs, metres, and other serial equipment.
The device also includes 5 I/O channels, supporting 3 analog inputs and 2 digital input/output channels, with pulse counting capability available on two channels. These interfaces allow the terminal to collect data from external devices and transmit it over the LoRa network.
A standard SMA antenna interface ensures stable wireless connectivity and can optionally include lightning protection for outdoor installations.
The device supports a wide operating power range from DC 5–36 V, with a typical supply of 12 V / 0.5 A, making it suitable for various industrial power systems.
Power consumption is optimised through low-power operating modes. Sleep mode consumption can be as low as 3.1 mA, while transmission current ranges from approximately 60 mA to 125 mA depending on the model and power supply conditions.
The terminal is built with an iron housing with IP30 protection, providing durability for industrial environments. It operates reliably within a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C and supports humidity levels up to 95% (non-freezing).
The device features a compact industrial enclosure measuring 91 × 58.5 × 22 mm and weighing approximately 205 g. Its terminal block interface simplifies installation in control cabinets and industrial panels.
Integrated status indicators labeled Power, ACT, and Online provide quick visual feedback on device operation and network status.

Applications
In industrial environments, the F8L10T enables wireless communication between machines, sensors, and control systems. Its RS232 and RS485 interfaces allow it to connect directly to PLCs and industrial equipment, while LoRa communication enables reliable data transmission across large facilities.
Electric power systems often require remote monitoring of substations, metres, and equipment located far from centralised control systems. The device’s long-distance LoRa communication and wide power input range make it suitable for collecting and transmitting operational data from distributed energy infrastructure.
Water supply networks, pumping stations, and environmental monitoring points are often distributed across large areas. With LoRa communication distances reaching several kilometres, the terminal allows utilities to gather operational data from remote sensors and transmit it back to control centres.
Environmental monitoring systems frequently operate in outdoor or remote locations. The device’s wide temperature tolerance and low-power operation allow it to support long-term deployment in monitoring stations that collect weather, air quality, or environmental data.
Transportation infrastructure such as traffic systems and roadside monitoring equipment often requires reliable communication across wide areas. The F8L10T allows traffic sensors and control equipment to transmit operational data wirelessly without requiring extensive cabling infrastructure.
