AI VCA is software running on a camera or recorder that watches the video feed and alerts you when something specific happens. Instead of someone watching screens all day, the system tells you when a person enters a restricted zone, loiters too long, or leaves an object behind.
Modern AI VCA covers several distinct detection types:
- Region Entrance / Exiting – alerts when an object crosses a defined zone boundary
- Line Crossing – triggers when movement crosses a virtual line
- Loitering – flags people or objects stationary longer than a set time
- People Counting – counts entries and exits, reports occupancy totals
- Face Detection – captures a still image of a detected face
- Tamper Detection – alerts when the camera is moved, sprayed, or obscured
- Object Left / Removed – flags items placed or taken from a scene
- Advanced Motion Detection – ignores lighting changes, detects real movement
