Overview
RX44 is an industrial cellular router designed to provide stable and secure connectivity in demanding environments. It acts as a central communication point, connecting devices, systems, and remote networks. The device is built to handle both simple data access and more advanced networking setups.
The router supports multiple cellular technologies, ensuring reliable communication across different network conditions. Dual SIM allows automatic switching between operators, helping maintain uptime when one connection fails. It also supports secure communication through VPN options like OpenVPN and IPsec, enabling protected data transfer across public networks.
An integrated GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo systems. This allows the device to provide accurate location data, which is useful for tracking assets or monitoring equipment in the field. Multi-system support improves positioning reliability, especially in challenging environments.
The router includes built-in tools for monitoring connection status and maintaining network stability. Features like ping-based reboot and link tracking help detect issues and automatically restore connectivity. It also supports firewall rules, VLAN separation, and access control, giving users control over network traffic and security.
Designed for industrial use, RX44 operates within a wide temperature range from –40°C to +65°C. It supports an 8–30V power input and can also be powered via Passive PoE. Its compact aluminium housing with IP30 protection makes it suitable for installation in control cabinets or indoor industrial environments.
The device offers multiple integration options, including RS232 and RS485 interfaces for industrial equipment. It also includes GPIO pins for connecting sensors or external devices. With Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi access, it can serve as both a wired and wireless network hub.

Applications
RX44 enables continuous connectivity for vehicles and mobile assets. Dual SIM failover and GNSS tracking help maintain communication and location visibility during movement, even across different network areas.
In industrial environments, the router connects machinery and control systems through Ethernet and serial interfaces like RS232/RS485. This allows remote monitoring and control of equipment without requiring on-site access.
The device supports secure data transmission for video surveillance systems. VPN support and stable connectivity ensure that camera feeds and security data can be accessed remotely without compromising safety.
For distributed infrastructure such as power stations or utility networks, RX44 provides reliable remote connectivity. Monitoring tools and automatic failover help maintain system visibility and reduce downtime.
The router can be used in payment terminals and kiosks where secure and stable connections are essential. Encrypted communication ensures safe transaction processing across public networks.

Questions
Decide two things. Network: 4G LTE (RX44, RX44x2) or 5G RedCap with LTE fallback (RX54, RX54x2). Redundancy: one cellular module, or two independent modules in the x2 versions that keep the link up if one network fails.
CAT.4 reaches up to 150 Mbps downlink and falls back to 3G (HSPA) and 2G (EDGE, GPRS, GSM). CAT.6 reaches up to 300 Mbps and falls back to 3G only; there is no 2G on CAT.6.
RedCap (Reduced Capability) is a lighter 5G NR profile defined in 3GPP Release 17 for industrial IoT. RX54 delivers up to 220 Mbps downlink and 120 Mbps uplink and falls back to LTE where 5G coverage is limited.
The single-module RX44 and RX54 include a GPS, GLONASS and Galileo receiver. The dual-module RX44x2 and RX54x2 do not.
Yes. Passive PoE-in on Ethernet port 1 accepts 8–30 V, in addition to the 8–30 V DC Microfit4 power input.
OpenVPN (one server and several clients), IPsec IKEv1/IKEv2, WireGuard, GRE, EoIP, PPTP, L2TPv2/v3 and DMVPN.
